Original Message from Miss Jackie's timeless Telly Award-winning Water Safety Video.

Hello, I am Jackie Caolo from Sanford, Florida.

All of my friends call me “Miss Jackie”. In 1956, my husband and I moved to Sanford with our five young children. Being in an area surrounded by the ocean, lakes, and swimming pools, I volunteered to assist with a summer swim program at the local Naval base and soon became certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. At that time, the swim program required that children be six years of age to participate, but it soon became obvious to me that children needed water safety training at a much younger age.

During the past 40 years, I have taught over 10,000 infants, preschoolers, and even older persons about water safety and the joy of swimming. Because children learn more easily when they have the opportunity to play, I incorporate games into my lessons to make them more fun and interesting.

My family and I have gotten together and produced this children’s video. With our water safety mascot, Sally Seal, our video is not only fun and entertaining for young children and their parents, but educational and informative as well. Because a parent is a child’s first teacher, I trust each of you will enjoy “Miss Jackie’s Swim Place” along with your children.

Love,

Miss Jackie Caolo
